After being successfully involved in the design and resale of new homes Mike decided to embark upon a career in real estate.
Grounded and strategic, Mike brings an energy to the team that is confident yet humble. His clients respect him for his ability to problem solve during difficult transactions and he is repeatedly praised for his dedication to his buyers and sellers and for the sincere care he takes with each of them.
As a direct result of his efforts, Mike continues to be one of the top ranking realtors in the country for volume of transactions.
A strong understanding of the Oakville, Burlington, Mississauga and Hamilton housing markets allows Mike Desormeaux to accurately evaluate real estate. Since 2008, Mike continues to teach monthly classes helping to educate the public about the real estate market.
In his unusual spare moments when Mike is not working his real estate magic, you might find him with his family at one of the lovely restaurants in down town Oakville, working out at Life Time Athletic or playing ice hockey.

With a sales background in corporate complex selling and years of experience in residential construction brings and wealth of knowledge to the table. He has identified key trends and developed successful strategies to buy great homes under market value and sell homes at top dollar.
His honesty and integrity and most importantly his passionate for real estate has lead him to be a true expert in his field, a trusted advisor and mentor to many in the real estate community because he can always find the win – win situation even with the most complex problems or challenges. His speed and decisiveness and master negotiating skills have created a history book of success stories for his customers.
He understands the importance of finding a realtor you can trust. Prior to becoming a Real Estate Sales Representative, he bought and sold a large number of properties and at times dealt with realtors who he questioned if they were acting his and his families best interest. He looked back and identified what characteristic he wanted in a sales person and instead of finding one he took on the role willingly.
He understands buying and selling a home should be an exciting event however without the right representation it can easily turn sideways and become stressful and can negatively impact your family, friends and career. He believes most realtors have good intentions unfortunately they are focusing on the wrong thing, “the real estate transaction” rather than” building a long term relationship” with their customer. He believes if the goal is to build a long term relationship, it will always guide you to do the right thing every time.
Whether you are looking to buy the perfect home for you and your family or sell your home for top dollar or create wealth in real estate, give Ruben a call now to schedule a hassle free appointment and see and feel the difference.
Ruben specializes in Residential Real Estate focusing on Oakville, Burlington, Milton, Mississauga and the GTA.

Sarah Desormeaux Sales Representative
After receiving her undergraduate Degree from Laurier, Sarah found herself in the hospitality industry.
Married to Mike Desormeaux, Sarah took every free chance she had to learn about buying and selling real estate. Sarah is the behind the scenes team member who deals with all the fine details that are so integral to The Oakville Life’s success.
Sarah wears many hats and was an integral part in helping to build and manage a successful property management company, which Mike and his partners later sold in 2013. Sarah’s background in management and construction directly contribute to her extensive knowledge of real estate.
Naturally this progression led to Sarah becoming Mike’s right-hand-woman, managing the day-to-day operations of his growing real estate team and structuring and negotiating deals from start to finish.
Working within a team provides the necessary resources and back-up to facilitate an incomparable real estate experience for all our clients.
Her background in customer service, sales, and hospitality is an asset in her real estate career. Her enthusiastic and outstanding people skills, her trustworthiness and her warm-hearted personality all benefit her clients.
Sarah loves living in Oakville and embraces its charm. When she’s not on the clock, you can usually find her spending time with her family, baking, or embarking on her most dangerous hobby: Retail Therapy.
In all seriousness; Sarah is a philanthropist at heart. She is always supporting several different charities. Some of her latest humanitarian contributions have taken her to Kenya where she volunteered in an orphanage and helped to build an elementary school. In 2014 she donated 12 inches of her hair to Beautiful Lengths and is currently training for The Niagara Falls Women’s Half Marathon in support of women fleeing domestic violence. Regardless of business vs. personal, calmness and poise are two expectations that Sarah never fails to meet.
